Product packaging requirements
To avoid damage during storage and transport, all goods must be correctly packaged.
All goods are stored and dispatched by Galaxus as individual sales units. Accordingly, these guidelines apply explicitly to the designated sales unit. Outer packaging for several individual sales units (e.g., trade units, collective carton) does not replace the correct packaging for the individual sales unit.
Incorrectly packaged goods must be repackaged manually by Galaxus. These costs may be charged to the supplier and Galaxus reserves the right to return such goods.

Suitable packaging materials include cardboard boxes, bubble wrap or ESD film bags.

Suitable packaging materials are textile bags or stretch films.

Suitable packaging materials are, for example, side-sealed bags, bubble wrap or cardboard boxes.
Sharp-edged products | Knives, gardening tools | Sharp-edged goods have a sharp or pointed edge, which can pose a danger to employees or customers if it is not properly secured. For this reason, sharp or pointed edges must be permanently sealed in the sales unit. The good must not cut through the packaging and the packaging must completely enclose the good. Suitable packaging materials are bubble wrap or cardboard boxes.
Set articles | Various | Goods consisting of several individual parts must be delivered as a complete sales unit. This sales unit should be properly packaged to keep the individual parts together and protect them.
Small goods | Cables, batteries, jewellery, USB stick | Goods smaller than a credit card can easily get lost and are susceptible to soiling, dust or liquids. Sufficiently large packaging should be used for these items. In addition, the barcode must not be folded over the edges of the product to ensure that it can be scanned.
Products without EAN / GTIN | Various | Each good must have a scannable EAN or GTIN barcode on the sales unit for identification purposes. If the barcode is not placed directly on the product, suitable packaging on which the barcode is printed is required.
Liquids over 100ml, with a cap without a safety catch | Beverages, cleaning agents, shower gel | Goods containing liquids over 100 ml must have a tamper-proof closure. This means that the closure cannot be reset to its original state after opening. If this is not the case, such liquids must be protected against leakage with additional outer packaging. Reasonable packaging materials are plastic sealing tapes. |
