Fee overview marketplace Switzerland

As a participant, no basic fees or initial costs are incurred vis-à-vis Galaxus (except for the necessary technical connection, insofar as you have to make technical changes in your systems for the use of the marketplace). There are only variable costs or a so-called sales fee on sold items - i.e. costs are only incurred when you sell. The amount of this fee is independent of the volumes sold via the marketplace and depends exclusively on the net sales price of the products you sell. All amounts stated below are also net values, any VAT owed will be charged in addition.

The sales fee corresponds to a percentage of the net sales price and differs depending on the product type. We distinguish on three levels between assortment groups, product types and concrete, individual products:

  1. Assortment group: The generic term for broadly defined areas and a large number of articles. These assortment groups do not necessarily correspond to the top menu level of the portal as it is presented to the end customer. An example of an assortment group is "household and kitchen articles".

  2. Product type: This is a keyword term for articles with certain characteristics, performance, etc. that are comparable or that can equally satisfy a certain need of the end customer. Product types can be, for example, "Automatic coffee makers", "Espresso machines" or "coffee capsule systems". The specific sales charge to be paid is defined at this level.

  3. Product: This is a specific individual item that can be ordered on the portal by the end customer, e.g. a specific model of an automatic coffee maker from a specific manufacturer. Each product is assigned to a product type and thus also to an assortment group. This means that the sales charge for both this automatic coffee maker and that of another manufacturer must be paid in the same percentage amount.

The following - purely informative and non-binding overview - is intended to provide a rough overview of the currently applicable sales fees on www.galaxus.ch and www.digitec.ch for marketplace participants at the level of the assortment groups. The table shows the highest and the lowest sales charge applicable to product types within the respective assortment group, as well as an average value; this is the average of the sales charges of all product types of the respective assortment group.
