Refurbished goods

Refurbished products are used products that have been completely renewed. Each participant ensures that all refurbished devices offered are professionally checked, cleaned and reconditioned.

Permitted product and product range groups

Merchants are not permitted to offer used and/or non-original packaged products in the following product and assortment groups of the marketplace assortment:

Plants and foodstuffs
Electronic software licences (ESD)
Consumables such as toner, filters, ink cartridges
Hygiene articles such as toothbrushes, razors, etc.

Definition of reprocessing and quality status

The products must be checked according to the following criteria and assigned to the appropriate quality status.

The following generally applies:

Products function perfectly

Professional inspection and cleaning

Data from previous customers must be deleted

valid software licences are available

Device batteries have at least 80% of the original capacity. If the capacity is below 80%, the battery must be replaced.

To make it easier for end customers to distinguish between refurbished offers, we divide the products into different product classes, so-called «quality states».

A / Wie neu	The screen and casing have no scratches or other signs of use. The product looks like new.	The product shows no signs of use. No pronounced signs of use are visible in the non-visible area (e.g. notebook underside or microwave back).
B / Sehr gut	Screen and casing may show minimal signs of use. No visible scratches when screen is on. Minimal signs of use visible when case is viewed from 30cm.	The product shows minimal signs of use. Minimally pronounced signs of use are visible in the non-visible area (e.g. notebook underside or microwave back).
C / Gut	Screen and casing have slight signs of use. No visible scratches when screen is on. Housing with light scratches and dents.	The product shows slight signs of use. Slightly pronounced signs of use are visible in the non-visible area (e.g. notebook underside or microwave back).
D / Akzeptabel	The case and the screen show clear signs of use and deep scratches. Use is not restricted in any way.	The product shows clear signs of use. In the non-visible area (e.g. notebook underside or microwave back) there are clearly pronounced signs of use.

We categorise the remanufactured appliances into three categories, each of which must be submitted to us by the supplier/merchant.

Category	Beschreibung
Non-refurbished	Non-refurbished units are functionally tested units in their original condition. No parts have been replaced.
Refurbished	The device has been reconditioned. The replaced parts are not original components.
Refurbished with original parts	The device has been reconditioned. The replaced parts are original components.
