Plugins & Middlware

Introduction

Galaxus supports new, as well as existing partners, through a ready supply of plugins and middleware which enable a fast connection.

For many shop systems and feed engines, interfaces have already been created especially for Galaxus which can be used for the connection in a resource-saving way. In addition to product data, order data can also be automated via various tools.

Way of working Plugin

A plug-in is an optional software component that extends or modifies existing software. The term is sometimes also used as a synonym for add-on and add-in.

Way of working Middleware

In computer science, middleware refers to application-neutral programmes that mediate between applications in such a way that the complexity of these applications and their infrastructure are hidden.

Depending on the chosen business model of the cooperation, the scope of implementation of the tool must be checked (differentiation between supplier and marketplace). Combinations between plug-in and custom solutions are possible in consultation with the responsible Portfolio Development Manager.

Plugins and middleware providers are third-parties who offer their services for a fee.

Since Galaxus already maintains an active interface with over 1,500 suppliers and many marketplace participants, it is possible that your system provider has already implemented a direct interface. Ask your partner to keep the manual effort manageable.
